Exmouth Mussel Festival

Yesterday I visited the Exmouth Mussel Festival and of course ate mussels! There were lots of stalls, music, mussel cooking demos, traditional lobster pot making and walk about entertainers.

I hope these photographs capture a flavour of the event.

Exeter Book

This weekend I took the opportunity to see the Exeter Book as it had a rare outing for public viewing at the Exeter Cathedral Library. An astonishing book dating to about year 960-990 the largest of only four surviving books of Anglo Saxon poetry and riddles in the world, further information can be found via Wikipedia here

Here's some photos I took, all a little tricky considering it was in a glass box which reflected the ceiling lights but managed to get a few decent ones I think...

Dismaland
