Exeter Book

This weekend I took the opportunity to see the Exeter Book as it had a rare outing for public viewing at the Exeter Cathedral Library. An astonishing book dating to about year 960-990 the largest of only four surviving books of Anglo Saxon poetry and riddles in the world, further information can be found via Wikipedia here

Here's some photos I took, all a little tricky considering it was in a glass box which reflected the ceiling lights but managed to get a few decent ones I think...

Britain's Oldest Donkey - Tessa 50 years old!

Yesterday I visited The Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth to photograph Tessa - Britain's oldest donkey for a news story for Caters News Agency. The shoot was great fun and the weather perfect, the staff at the Donkey Sanctuary were lovely too.
