This weekend I took the opportunity to see the Exeter Book as it had a rare outing for public viewing at the Exeter Cathedral Library. An astonishing book dating to about year 960-990 the largest of only four surviving books of Anglo Saxon poetry and riddles in the world, further information can be found via Wikipedia here
