Snow on and near Dartmoor
Nearly a week after photographing Wistman's Wood in the snow we had more snow, I went up on two days to photograph it, the first day was overcast and the snow was too deep to venture much on Dartmoor, but on the second visit even had some sunshine. I was really amazed by the windswept severe frost and ice.

Snow on Dartmoor - Wistman's Wood
Yesterday I couldn't resist the chance to play with my camera in the snow on Dartmoor. I drove to Two Bridges then walked to Wistman's Wood an ancient oak wood of stunted trees.

River Exe Flooding
Today saw the River Exe here in Exeter at exceptional high levels after a week of wet weather, I went down just after dawn to get a few shots...

This shot really brings the increase in height of water home
This is the ferry crossing, the cable is usually around shoulder height
The scene just after dawn, the water was still rising
The transit shed
At it's height the water completely covered the cobbled road
People carried on with their usual pursuits
Quite a few sightseers today
News reports and police warnings, may be more to come?
The old Mediaeval bridge has seen it all before
That's all for today
